It’s a “craven and spineless” decision to overtune life bans says Adam Pengilly

British International Olympic Committee member Adam Pengilly says that decision taken by the Court of Arbitration for Sport(Cas) is not right.

Adam Pengilly was not satisfied with the decision of overturning the life of 28 Russian athletes for doping bans by Cas.

“It is a desperate and dark day for sport, with cheats and thieves allowed to triumph”

Cas stated that the evidences against the athletes for doping were not sufficient for life bans.

Pengilly said “Cas failed here”, on that statement.

Adam Pengilly is the vice president of International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation too.

“We need to take a long, hard look at sport’s leading administrators and sport’s legal system when we see the greatest fraud at an Olympic Games and years of institutional doping conspiracy pass by with only minor punishment”

“The silent and clean majority are being made to suffer through having to attain a ridiculous burden of proof and by the craven and spineless decisions of those who lead.”

In 2017 43 Russian athletes were given life bans after doping at the 2014 Sochi Games.

Sports minister Pavel Kolobkov insisted that the athletes who were accused of doping were clear.
